Soldier Field is by far the oldest stadium in the National Football League, hosting local teams for more than nine decades. It was constructed in 1924 and the Chicago Bears call it their home since 1971 when the franchise relocated here.

Just as the name suggests, Soldier Field is aimed at the memory of fallen American soldiers alive, with the name being given in 1925. Over the course of time it hosted football games as well as other sports, with a memorable event being the match between the Army and Navy. The arena serves multiple purposes and even though it can only accommodate a bit over 60,000 football fans, the total capacity exceeds 100,000. Framed Soldier Field posters also captured those moments when the arena hosted concerts, political speeches or other events unrelated to sports.
Since 1971, Chicago Bears abandoned Wrigley Field, where the Chicago Cubs are still playing their baseball games and relocated to Soldier Field. Hundreds of football games were played here, but a couple of events stand out from the crowd, such as the opening football match or the Army Navy game of 1926. The record for most of the fans attending a football game here was set in 1927 when 123,000 people enjoy the game between Notre Dame and University of Southern Carolina.
