Framed Boxing Posters
People have always loved fights and confrontations, both between individuals and teams. Boxing was one of the first sports and the first depictions go back more than 5000 years, being popular all over the Middle East and Southern Europe.
The framed Boxing Posters at FramedArt.com are less about the athletes of ancient times and focus mostly on the ones that took the boxing gloves on over the last decades.
Back in the day, hard leather was used to protect the fists of boxers and the fighting took place at amphitheaters.
The modern gladiators are competing in a slightly different game, but the essential rules have been preserved and this is one of the reasons for why boxing is a special sport. They fight for 12 rounds of three minutes each and despite the relatively short duration of the game, these matches are extremely demanding. The sport was brought back in the spotlight by the tale of Rocky Marciano with Sylvester Stallone depicting the legendary Italian boxer. There are framed Boxing Posters featuring him at the height of his career, with the black-and-white photographs being a must have for collectors.
Muhammad Ali is widely regarded as one of the best boxers of all time, is not the ultimate artists and he enjoys plenty of coverage in framed Boxing Posters. His legendary victory over Sonny Liston resulted in a memorable photograph, with Ali looking down his vanquished foe. Mike Tyson enjoyed a meteoric rise and an equally fast downfall, yet his powerful hook is still fondly remembered by the fans of the genre.
