The feeling of venturing into unfamiliar territory has always been an interesting concept for art. In the many pieces of
framed underwater art, the artists attempt to put into canvas the feeling of plunging into the unknown, the mysterious, and the sometimes magical world under the sea.
Framed underwater art pieces like Christian Lassen’s Mother’s Love and T.C. Chiu’s Underwater Splendor show the rich marine life that can be seen underwater. Lassen’s piece shows a painting of a dolphin among many other fishes in a colorful and cheerful picture which utilize a number of bright colors to portray the liveliness of the scene. Chiu’s piece, on the other hand, shows an underwater scene teeming with life. It depicts a number of dolphins swimming together with other schools of fish as the sun sets in the background. The color combination and the lighting of the piece complement the liveliness of the scene.
