The marine scenery is incomplete without corals. Corals are like underwater flowerbeds as they radiate beauty with all their different sizes, shapes, and colors. Corals themselves are some of nature’s works of art. Many artists take on
framed coral art to show its magnificence.
Tandi Venter in his works Coral Impressions I-IV takes the familiar shape of corals, paints it red, and puts these on top of a wise choice of color combination of brown, cream, and white. In all the art pieces, there are also quite a variety of different layers of subtle objects such as shells, starfishes, and sand patterns. As such, the
framed coral art pieces evoke a kind of eccentric beauty in them and shows Venter’s take on his impressions of beach and coral-centric art.
The complexity of Venter’s work is contrasted by the simplistic yet intricate beauty of Sabine Berg’s framed coral artwork Aqua Coral I and Aqua Coral II. Berg’s pieces are comprised only of a white coral shape in a blue background. However, this simplicity brings about a unique sense of relaxation. Berg accurately portrays the many branches of corals using only white paint. Despite being very similar, Aqua Coral I and Aqua Coral II are different in their own special way and many art lovers will appreciate the amount of detail that is achieved using by Berg with only two colors in her pieces.
Wild Apple Portfolio’s detailed take on coral art can be seen as a combination of Berg and Venter’s art styles. In their artwork Gorgonia Miniacea on Linen Sea Foam and Gorgonia Granulata on Linen Sea Foam, they accurately show two different types of corals with a background consisting of objects subtly drawn like starfishes and seashells.
