Framed Maroon Artwork
Art is meant to inspire and leave a long lasting impression on the audience, so it makes sense to craft artwork that stands out from the crowd. Bright colors and radiant hues are sometimes chosen, but if you visit FramedArt.com, you will find out that framed maroon prints can achieve the same effect in a different way.
The tones are less vibrant, but skilled painters have always found a way of bringing their ideas to light using such colors and these posters have the uncanny ability of matching any decor.
There are misconceptions about this color, which is sometimes associated to dirt and less glamorous things, but they vanish into thin air when admiring the framed maroon prints. Heinrich Hofman found it worthwhile to use dull colors when creating the Christ at Thirty-Three painting and the result exceeded expectations. Jesus is not radiant in that image, but the colors project a contemplative aura upon him and his magnetic look is fascinating.
The modern approach is slightly different, but the same colors take new valences in paintings that mimic abstract art. Laurie Maitland’s twin framed maroon paintings Symphony in Red and Khaki are a treat for the eye, with those admiring them being drawn by the image. The twisted lines make it impossible to look away and create the illusion of a cloudy sky at sunset or a murky lake, depending on vantage point.
