Framed Fiesta Red Prints
Trying to capture someone’s attention with art is easy when you are using bright red as a base color. Artists discovered a long time ago that wonderful and powerful framed bright red art was a real eye pleaser. The color makes people feel warm and it can generate a feeling of happiness with its brightness.
“Pucker Up!” by David Bromtad is a great piece of bright red framed artwork. The set of glossy, bright red, puckered up lips are sexy and sensual without being vile and offensive. In 1967 Mark Rothko painted a series of abstracts that were simply rectangles laid out in different ways in shades of bright red that were a major hit; goes to show how much power bright red really has.
Bright red flowers are a popular medium for artwork and artists Daphne Brissonnet and Lynn Kelly have taken that to an extreme with their works “Petals and Wings II” and “Firelight II”. Martina Schindler uses her camera and a bunch of cherry tomatoes with stems to create beautiful bright red framed pictures.
“Chocolate and Cherries I” and “Chocolate and Cherries II” by Diane Martin are proof that bright red is a powerful option in the world of painting. These two painting of circles of brown, black, green, and tan on a bright red background are to favorite abstracts of art lovers from different walks of life. Red demands attention and any piece of art done in red is going to demand attention as well and that is way it is a standard choice amongst decorators.
