Yvette St. Amant was originally from Thunder Bay, Ontario, but she now resides in Surprise, Arizona where she continues to fulfill her passion for painting. She studied at Lakehead University and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts. Yvette has a strong passion for wildlife and this passion has inspired her to produce a series of large scale paintings featuring exotic animals. She started producing paintings shortly after her graduation. She also produced loosely abstract, creative paintings in acrylic or oil on canvas. Since 2004, she’s been established as a published artist with Canadian Art Prints. This has made her to expand her subject matter to include Asian inspired, abstract, floral, and tropical images for home décor. These pieces are produced primarily in acrylic paint on board or canvas. Most of her art are sold as framed Yvette St. Amant art, though there are other finishing options that also come in different sizes. Her pieces exhibit vivacious color palettes that she enhances by a combination of visible and blended abstract elements and brush strokes. She’s widely known for both the best-sellers “Frozen Impressions I & II” and her worldwide published tropical images. Her art, particularly “Birds of Paradise I & II”, showcase her ability to capture the freshness of early spring foliage, as well as the heat of the tropics in brilliant color. She’s mastered her art and is not afraid to projects that look complicated. Her art has found home in some of the world’s leading collections both corporate and private.
