Craig Trewin Penny was born in Mildura. Being an artist for several years has not stopped him from seeking more knowledge to help improve his art. Penny regularly visits museums, art galleries and shows where he learns from the works of other artists. In 2001, the artist had his first major one-person exhibition in Mt Eliza, Victoria. Many exhibitions and awards have since followed. Currently, his art is on display in several places around the world – including museums, galleries, institutions, homes and public places. His work is rich in color and jaunty energy and that’s the way he likes it. Penny draws and paints from his heart, his mind's eye, and recollections of his subjects. From a very young age, he used to produce beautiful and attractive pieces of art that baffled many viewers. For this reason, many people encouraged him to consider taking art as a career. Today, many collectors place high price tag on his art because their demand is very high; this is more so for the framed Craig Trewin Penny art which come ready to hang with all the required accessories. His art has been accepted by many Galleries around Singapore, Australia, South East Asia and California, United States of America as well a many private and public collections. He studied art at Ballarat University and specialized in painting and graphic design. Penny taught traditional drawing, digital drawing and illustration at both Swinburne and Victoria Universities. This allowed him to pursue a successful career as an illustrator, and he became a member of the Illustrators Association of Australia.
