Framed Tomato Art

Framed tomato still life is quite popular also. Kerstin Arnold Tomato created several images of tomatoes in bowls with none or few other items, including “Italian Colours”, “Italian Cooking” and “Culinary Art II”. Others created more complex still life artwork. Maureen McCarthy created “Pumpkins, Tomatoes and Squash” and I. Lane created “Our Daily Bread” which depicts tomatoes with bread, herbs and other vegetables.

Another medium is framed tomato photography such as “Appetizing”, “Delicious” and “Aromatic” by Maria Schindler who takes advantage of a Macro lens in her pieces, or “Tomatoes Still Life” where artist Geoffrey Ansel Agrons takes more traditional pictures of the subject on a table. And then there are artists like Kristin Emery who, in her piece “Tomato”, creates an abstract interpretation of the subject.
