Framed Agave Artwork
You've probably heard of agave nectar, which is the sweet substance inside of the desert agave plant. It has a resemblance to an aloe plant, having long, spiky fronds, but are not related. Also unlike aloe plants, their juice can be a skin irritant instead of a skin soother. Its rosette-shaped leaves make for beautiful framed agave art.
It is unknown what medium “Agave Victoria” by Moises Levy is. It might be a framed agave painting rendered in photorealistic style. It might be a photograph. It might even be a black-and-white pencil drawing. It is a young agave rosette, having short leaves, which at the same time makes it resemble macro art.
Have you ever seen a purple agave plant? You can see one in this framed agave watercolour called “Purple Agaves on the Rocks” by Beth Zink. In fact you can see three of them! One bigger, two smaller, contrasted by a red desert floor. Although it is a watercolour, the colours are such so that it's almost photographic. Its colours are very vibrant, which makes you forget that a desert is hot.
An interesting framed photograph of an agave is “Sliced Agave Geode” by GI Artlab. There are many coloured lines in the rock, which appears to be have been taken under a microscope. The lines meander, making a chevron pattern. You can see many layers in the geode, like an onion. Its colours are in beautiful greens, browns, and golden-tans. It is wonderful for the gem lover.
