Framed Perfume Posters

The first perfumes were used in the ancient world, in both Europe and the Middle East and they were constantly refined. History buffs will be fascinated to discover that the earliest ones date back almost 4000 years and were used over the course of time by Etruscans, Arabs and Persians. It was the French who perfected the scents and that’s why so many of the framed perfume prints are either painted by French artists or inspired by the French societies of the 18th and 19th centuries.

Modern artists didn’t lose their interest in perfumes and Gregory Gorham has an entire collection of framed perfume prints that revolve around them. The tiny vials that contain the seemingly magical elixir are beautiful and leave no doubt about their contents.
