Framed Sci-Fi Landscapes

Scenes from millions of years ago are depicted in the work of Arthur Dorety in farmed sci-fi landscape pieces such as “An Acrocanthosaurus Roams an Early Cretaceous North America.” Here a dinosaur is depicted strolling by the seaside along the hedge of prehistoric plant life. Mark Stevenson also features dinosaurs in his ultra sci-fi piece “Velociraptors React Curiously to a 1930’s American Pickup Truck.” Time has elapsed in this scene bringing modern man and ancient animals together on what seems to be the sand dunes of Mars.

Subtler pieces of sci-fi landscape art are depicted in the work of Evgeny Kuklev and Vlad Gerasimov. “Flying Tree” by Vlad Gerasimov shows tree and soil hovering in the backdrop of a blue and green night sky. Another nighttime landscape image is portrayed in Evgeny Kuklev’s “Tranquil Ocean at Night Against Starry Sky, Moon and Falling Meterorite.” This image combines earth and space in one beautiful scene. These pieces are evidence of the fact that when it comes to art, the only limit is the imagination.
