Framed Goddess Artwork
Back in the day, when science was in its infant stages and many things couldn’t be explained rationally, people chose to believe in deities. Gods and goddesses guided their steps and some of them passed the test of time, reaching us centuries later. FramedArt.com makes a contribution to the cause, with great looking Framed Goddess Art that celebrates the female deities. Just like their male counterparts, they were associated to concepts such as creation, healing and fertility, but also war, death and destruction.
Framed Goddess Art covers all the characters from several religions ranging from Hinduism and Buddhism to Greek and Roman mythology. Interesting enough, goddesses were the ones that were more numerous in monotheistic religions, although thousands of years ago, people chose to honor more supernatural beings. While they’ve been around for many centuries, the term appeared for the first time in the 14th century and it was formed by adding a feminine ending to the word used to describe a male deity.
Most of the Framed Goddess Art focus on the creatures made famous by Roman and Greek mythology, as they were the best preserved ones from antiquity. Even though there are no longer people believing in these pages, many of the legends and myths have endured and are well known by modern people. In time, the term has been adopted and was used to describe real women celebrated for their outstanding qualities, with Shakespeare using the term extensively in his plays.
