Framed Venus Art
Venus was the Roman goddess of beauty, love, fertility and desire. In mythology of Ancient Rome, she was seen as the mother of Romans, by the myth in which her son Aeneas, got to Italy after the Trojan Wars.
She was worshiped in many festivals and was followed by many cults in Rome. Her Greek equivalent was Aphrodite, and Romans used that representations to better illustrate Venus in art and literature. In later times, Venus was seen as one of the most attributed goddesses in Greek and Roman mythology, because she represented love and sexuality. If you are looking to add a feeling of love or beauty to your home, a framed Venus art print can add that special touch of elegance and charm that you need.
By mythology, Venus was created from foam of the sea. The Roman creed illustrated her as a female principle, with important role of generating life and bringing harmony to it. She is believed to bring victory in battle, more love and passion in a relationship, good luck and general prosperity. Bride offered gifts to Venus, so their marriages could be harmonious.
Representations of Venus have been found in many homes in the Roman Empire. She was often depicted on murals and mosaics, and represented in many different shapes in the form of various statues. Also, a large number of temples were built in her honor. Representative symbols of Venus were flowers, especially roses and myrtle. This goddess of love and beauty had a huge number of worshipers, and her influence on Roman culture was tremendous, so one of her names was “Trojan Mother of the Romans”, and that name showed her real importance in the Roman world.
