Chinese Framed Art
When one mentions the idea of Chinese art; there are many different things that come to the mind of an art lover. Artists have worked over time to gather a fairly large collection of framed Chinese artwork. Though the styles and formats are different each one has a way to represent the Chinese culture in a wonderful and stylish way.
One of the most favored models for framed Chinese art pieces is the lovely Chinese writing. Artists like Diane Stimson, Stephanie Marrott, Young-Mi Chi, and Jennifer Sosik have used this format to create pieces like “Dream”, Happiness”, Prosperity”, and “Tranquility”. Each uses their own style to keep their works unique.
Babara Psima incorporates the graceful Koi fish into her framed Chinese art painting titled “Energy I”. Nancy Slocum also strays off the beaten path and uses the Chinese fan in her work which makes for a beautifully detailed piece that can be enjoyed by many eyes. Chariklia Zarris uses the Chinese paper lanterns used in the Chinese New Year in her works of the same name.
One of the oldest paintings in this category is by Katasushika Hokusai and it is a lovely piece of the famous Chinese dragon. The bright red combined with the black and gold makes this piece very elegant and worthy of hanging in the most prestigious of locations. Hong Mi Lim reminds the world that the Chinese are the reason that the rest of the world is able to gaze upon the beauty of the lotus bloom in his work “Lotus Dream II”.
