Framed Wrestling Art
When people hear of wrestling, they immediately think about the athletes that compete in the shows broadcasted all over the world and immensely popular in North America. FramedArt.com has an abundance of framed resting posters dedicated to these celebrities, including John Cena, The Rock and Seth Rollins, to name but a few.
Traditional wrestling is much different and is among the oldest forms of combat, with the first references going back as much as 3000 years.
Even the early drawings in the case of France depict wrestlers engaged in combat and there were similar references in Babylonian and Egyptian cultures. In the ancient Olympic Games held in Greece, wrestlers had a prominent position and their competition was by far the most popular. It underwent several changes over the course of time, being widespread in Europe and then imported in the New World. The framed wrestling posters are rarely about the traditional fighting style and are heavily geared towards the modern approach.
Celebrated by some as an action-packed sport, wrestling is relegated to the status of a show with debatable taste by others. Athletes or actors, the ones who practice wrestling spend a lot of time in the spotlight and whenever major competitions are scheduled, the arenas are packed with fans. Many of the framed wrestling posters feature the athletes as they lift a trophy recently won, or on the verge of delivering a seemingly crushing blow to an opponent.
