Candice Alford was born in the Shannon region of Ireland known as Kilrush. That’s where she spent much of her childhood exploring the surrounding countryside. In the course of her exploration, she developed an intuitive understanding of the seasons and cycles of life as well as an affinity for nature. Growing up exploring the wild countryside of Ireland also provided her with continuing inspiration for her later works of art. During her early adolescence, her family moved to Warwick, Rhode Island, where they engaged in the restoration of old homes. The move to a new country forced her to search for varied forms of creative expression in a bid to reconnect with the natural environment of her youth. She was so much in love with art that she couldn’t imagine doing something different. Before realizing that her passion lay in the visual arts, Candice explored the world of music singing and playing guitar. She turned her focus to art and she decided to open her own studio in Atlanta, Georgia at the young age of 25. This is where she has been successfully selling and creating her art since the late 1990s. Her art has been received well in the art circles and they usually do well at art shows and exhibitions. Quite a number of her pieces are produced as framed Candice Alford art that come in different colors of frame and with all the accessories needed for hanging. Candice is known for her delicate use of color and texture to achieve a perfect balance in her art.
